Nathan Belt & The Buckles

The perfect blend of rockabilly, Bakersfield country and modern music featuring stellar vocals and clever instrumentation.

Nathan Belt is an award winning musician and performer who has been winning over the hearts of music lovers since early 1994. Performing world wide, from across the United States to Europe, Asia and South Africa, Nathan has grown as an artist, songwriter and vocalist and honed his own mix of rockabilly, Bakersfield country and the modern sounds of today to help formulate what has now become Nathan Belt & The Buckles. He loves both Mexican and Italian food but hates carbs.

Wes L’Anglois (Lead Guitar) was born and raised in Nashville, TN. A self taught guitarist since the age of 15, he can be seen lurking and performing (mostly lurking) on the road or within the Nashville honky tonk’s showcasing his own brand of retro, stratocaster, space twang. Wes has played or recorded with numerous respected Nashville artists such as Chuck Mead (of BR5-49), Bobby Bare SR., Michele Shocked, Chris Scruggs, Josh Joplin and many others. He’s a vintage guitar nut. He loves hotdogs with good chili and onions. He also love coffee.

Matt Bohli (Drummer) is a freelance drummer based out of Nashville, Tennessee and the tour drummer for Hank Williams III as well as Nathan Belt & The Buckles. He can be seen performing in rock venues, punk bars, and honkytonks across the country. As a freelancer, Matt performs regularly with many respected groups and musicians in Nashville including The Travis Mann Band and The Don Kelley Band. He can be heard on indie folk-rock singer/songwriter Steven Fiore’s 2013 album release, “Youth and Magic”. Matt holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University, where he studied timpani and orchestral percussion with Tim Genis, Principal Timpanist of The Boston Symphony Orchestra . A Maryland native, Matt has been a resident of Nashville since 2009. Matt plays Pearl drums. Matt enjoys a good trucker hat and says there’s nothing more dependable than a clean, white t-shirt.

Jared Manzo (Upright Bass) is originally from Central Illinois where he was exposed to music at an early age as he sat next to his grandmother while she played the piano. His family relocated to Texas and he began learning the bass guitar and playing in bands at age 16. After graduating from Hardin-Simmons University with a degree in Marketing while simultaneously playing music and touring, he moved to Nashville to pursue his true passion. Jared was first exposed to the roll of the upright bass in traditional country and rockabilly music while on tour selling merchandise for retro-country sensation BR5-49. Nashville has provided the opportunity to make a living performing and recording with a variety of artists in multiple genres, and this is why he now calls it home. He loves the simple pleasures in life like a brand new toothbrush, fresh socks straight out of the factory packaging, and cats.

  • We couldn't afford to get vinyl prints yet, so we did the next best thing and made the CD's look like vinyl! :) But be warned, it won't have the same affect when you try to play it on your turntable.

  • This was happening at 2:30am at the Nashville Palace last night (this morning). They would NOT let us go home! Lol! GREAT crowd and we had a BLAST!
  • Me and the boys with Cassie's Aunt Vonda and Uncle Tom. The trusty, custom made guitar that I play at every gig was built by Tom and this night was the first time he'd witnessed it in action.
Thank you, Tom, and keep up the great work!
  • I love this picture of my Mom and Dad. The day he returned home from Saudi Arabia after Operation Desert Storm, 1992. - Nathan
